FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where will my session take place?

All sessions are currently conducted via teletherapy through a secure HIPAA-compliant Zoom meeting.

What is your cancellation policy?

Therapy is generally a weekly commitment. If you must cancel your appointment, I ask that you do so 24 hours in advance. If you must cancel within the 24-hour time period, a fee will apply that I outline in our forms. Understandably, I will take into account emergency situations. You are welcome to reschedule if I have availability within the same week, but the fee will still apply for the missed session.

What is payment like?

Please note that I am not individually paneled with insurance companies, but I am able to provide you with a monthly bill for out-of-network reimbursement. If you are interested in going this route, you should look into your deductible and benefits and find out if your insurance reimburses a significant portion of our sessions.

I am able to take a limited number of spots for people with Aetna insurance through a telehealth billing platform. Please inquire if you would like to consider using your Aetna insurance.

Please note that based on personal and professional experiences that I also reserve limited sliding scale slots for those who might face financial hardship affording my full fee. Please do not hesitate to inquire about this option as I believe therapy should be accessible to everyone in some capacity. We can discuss sliding scale options if you believe you might fit into this category and dependent on my sliding scale availability.

Do you work with anyone who does not fit into one of the specialties you listed?

Please feel free to inquire about our fit together even if you are unsure. I have select room available for couples therapy sessions as well.
